The number 998 is a universal factory code for all test strips displayed on the glucose meter. It means that everything is functioning correctly.

If the message 998 appears on the glucose meter screen when it is switched on, coding is automatic. You do not need to code the glucose meter manually.

For accurate blood glucose measurement, it is important to follow the rules described in the glucose meter User Manual. 
Key steps include:

• Preparing all system components;
• Thoroughly washing your hands before the procedure;

• Pricking your finger with a lancet;
• Correctly applying a drop of blood to the strip, according to the User Manual instructions.

To measure correctly, touch the side of the test strip (not the top) at the location indicated by the arrows with your drop of blood.
Do not press your finger against the test strip. Do not drip blood onto the test strip.

1. The main reason is a missing or depleted battery. Make sure there is a correctly inserted, functional battery under the cover in the glucose meter’s battery compartment.
2. Also ensure that you are inserting the test strip correctly into the glucose meter.

Battery life depends on how frequently the device is used and on the battery’s shelf life.
The “E‑b” error warns that the battery is running low. When this message appears, replace the battery (CR2032).

The glucose meter will not display a result only in the following situations:

1. The test strip was removed from the device before the result appeared on the screen;
2. A damp or already used test strip is inserted into the glucose meter;
3. A drop of blood was applied to the test strip before it was inserted into the glucose meter;
4. A drop of blood was applied to the test strip before the corresponding blood drop icon appeared on the glucose meter screen.

In this case, we recommend repeating the test with a new test strip, following the rules in the glucose meter User Manual.

If you doubt the accuracy of the result, perform a repeat measurement. If the result is again unexpected, try measuring with a test strip from a new, unopened vial, as the issue may be related to improper storage conditions for the test strips.

The device displays results from 1.7 mmol/L to 41.7 mmol/L, along with the corresponding date and time.

1. If the test result exceeds 41.7 mmol/L, the message “Hi” appears.
2. If the test result is below 1.7 mmol/L, the message “Lo” appears.
3. The “Lo” message may also appear if the blood drop is applied incorrectly to the test strip.

Measurement results depend on several factors; blood glucose levels vary depending on food intake, medications taken, stress, or physical exercise.
High or low values may be caused by failure to observe the recommended storage conditions for test strips or by performing the blood glucose measurement procedure incorrectly, contrary to the device’s instructions for use.

No, using expired test strips is not allowed, as this may lead to inaccurate measurement results.
We recommend regularly checking the expiration date of the materials you use.
Please also note that after the package is first opened, test strips should be stored for no more than 90 days.

Optimal storage conditions include a heated, ventilated room at a temperature between 2°C and 30°C.
Avoid exposure to moisture, high temperatures, and direct sunlight for both the test strips and the device itself

“Tone” on the screen is the glucose meter’s alert for elevated glucose levels (above 13.3 mmol/L).

CLEP – message prompting you to clear the memory;
done – indicates that the glucose meter memory has been completely cleared;
Lo – message indicating that the glucose level is below 1.7 mmol/L;
Hi – message indicating that the glucose level is above 13.3 mmol/L;
E‑U – test strip error;
E‑O – device error;
E‑b – battery error;
E‑t – indicates an unsuitable temperature range;
E‑C – indicates a coding strip error;
7d – shows your average result over 7 days (in mmol/L);
14d – shows your average result over 14 days (in mmol/L);
